When hosting a party, instead of worrying about your guests tracking dirt throughout your home, let your guests know ahead of time that you would appreciate if they would understand that you will be holding a shoe-free party. A big mat outside your front door and an area rug inside the entry will trap most of the dirt.

HOW TO KEEP YOUR PA AND NJ CARPETS AND FLOORS GERM FREE

Be Healthy – Leave your Shoes and the Toxins at the Door
How do you feel if someone asks you to take your shoes off when you arrive at their home?

If you think your hostess is weird or excessive – guess again.
Think of all the mileage and “garbage juice” your shoes encounter throughout the day - dirt, chewing gum, pet waste, road oil, heavy metals, and pesticides.

STONE HARBOR, NJ CARPET AND UPHOPLSTERY CLEANING SERVICES

As seen on The Press of Atlantic City website.

AAA Carpet & Upholstery Cleaning was started 35 years ago by my uncle, and it’s still family owned and operated. Family members are involved, and now we’re on to a third generation.

We’re hands-on at each job. There is always a family member there in a management role.

We do carpet and upholstery cleaning. We clean and protect high-end fabrics, leather, draperies and outdoor furniture. Our carpet method uses low-moisture, quick-drying cleaners. We do several different types of cleaning, determined by the carpet or fabric.

PROFESSIONAL RUG CLEANING SERVICES FOR NJ AND PA
  • Pre-Inspect. As owners and operators, we will inspect the condition of your rug for fading, discoloration, stains, wear, pre-existing damage, color instability and odors. Our specialists then determine what can be cleaned and the appropriate cleaning procedures to be used. (Please note, discoloration due to wear, fading, or chemical reaction is not reversible.)
  • Dust. Dust and particulate matter lying deep within the rug are removed using specially designed tools before your rug is cleaned. Vacuuming, shaking or beating your rug can never completely remove dirt and dust. Foot traffic and dry soil can act like sandpaper on the fiber and it is important they are removed before deep cleaning occurs.

Tips for Preventing Damage from Clothes Moths

Insects-so small you hardly notice them-may be doing damage to textile items around your home. Generally, you aren't aware of them until after the damage has been done.  The babies are the culprits-eating their way through your wool rugs as they mature. Their mothers and fathers do no damage-except to leave behind their eggs from which the hungry larvae hatch.

Most people know that clothes moths can do considerable damage, but carpet beetles can cause extensive damage if they are not controlled. Clothes moth larvae are usually found on their food material. Carpet beetle larvae are more invasive and crawl from one room to another.
